Today, I took Sarah to a Splash Pad. It wasn't too hot but thought it would be a nice treat for the girls. After some serious play time, Grandma treated all of us to Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Truck.
I picked a Strawberry Shortcake. Sarah picked a chocolate dipped cone. Hannah got a vanilla bar dipped in chocolate and Destiny got an oreo dipped cone.
I started to eat my strawberry shortcake ice cream and Sarah was starting to eat hers. Moments later she tells me "mommy, it broke." I looked at her ice cream and it was fine. She continued to try to eat through the chocolate but didn't seem to break through it. She tells me again "mommy, it broke." She then gets up, hands me her cone, takes my ice cream, and sits back down in her picnic chair.
Feeling slightly defeated by an almost three-year old by her cuteness, I shrugged and ate her cone, which was pretty good even though I'm not a chocolate person. When there was about 1/3 left of the strawberry shortcake ice cream left and about half of the chocolate dipped cone, she came up to me, took her cone back and handed me back the strawberry shortcake ice cream. My mom and my niece laughed at me.
