JP's Birthday

Last Saturday we celebrated JP's 30th birthday.  His first birthday celebration with his little girl.  We invited family over and a few friends.  JP cooked the bbq...yes he wanted to...no he didn't want to get food catered...yes he picked out the recipes and the menu...and yes he gets a kick out of going crazy in the kitchen.
In the picture below, Kris (JP's brother) was drawing him a diagram concerning electrical and giving him directions.  As you can tell, Sarah was very fascinated by the conversation and what Uncle Kris had to say.
You'd swear she thought we were singing happy birthday to her instead of her daddy.  I think daddy made it that way though so she'll be ready for her first birthday which is approaching very fast!
So...I don't know what came over me.  I put some icing on Sarah's face and she moved it into her mouth.  Smart kid.  And then I got curious to see if she would know what do with a cake in front of her.  I don't know why I was curious cuz I knew what she would do but a part of me challenged if she really would.  And she did.  You should have seen the big chunk of cake she took and shoved in her mouth.
Anyways, Happy Birthday Daddy from Sarah Bear! The world may think you did something you weren't supposed to do on your birthday, which is cook, sweat, and serve people...but that is totally who you are and it shows the world what type of dad and husband you are.  If you can do that on your birthday of all days, then how much more so do you do it every day for me and Sarah.  Thank you for being a true man of God who leads by example, in action, and in words and stays involved in our lives!  We love you!  Oh, love Hannah Bear too.
