Conversation with my 19 month old that took me by surprise...
Sarah finds candy in my pumping bag and brings it to me and walks away. I tell her "thank you baby." She's not looking so I quickly open the bite size Butterfinger and eat a piece of it and put it down quickly. Five seconds later Sarah comes back running to me and says "MUM" and is signing more. So I'm like "more? more what baby?" And as clear as day she says "can-day." My eyes got big. "Did you say candy?" Sarah nods yes and says "yeah."
So what did I do? I gave her the rest of the Butterfinger.
And just to test her I asked her "Sarah what's this?"
"Can-day" and does the sign for more.
Good grief.
