I squeezed in Sarah's 9 month checkup early and daddy got to join us. I'm not quite sure what information to share at times. I think being the parent of a premature baby has been eye opening. People think the struggle or the "catching up" phase is all over when the baby is released from the hospital. Sorry, but it isn't and if you didn't know then hopefully this saves you from making any ignorant statements.
I've been fortunate and blessed Sarah hasn't had any major development issues or even major delays. She is keeping up with her age group. The only thing she is "behind" on is her length and weight in which she falls in the lower percentile. But if that's adjusted to 7.5 months (if she was born on her due date) she is in the higher percentile. No teeth have shown up yet but the doctor said there are term babies who don't have teeth til 15 months so its no concern.
So moving on. Here is a pic of daddy and Sarah being silly waiting for Dr. Patel.
